Recognizing the pattern of problem and solution helps you understand how texts are organized and allows for better understanding and prediction making.

If you read a text with a clearly defined problem, you will then start thinking in terms of possible solutions, engaging you and allowing you to think about the different paths that might occur.

Also, reading a solution can help you understand the problem more clearly.
